πͺ About KiteWind
This site is still in Beta and far from perfect.
As a passionate kitesurfer, I was never fully satisfied with the existing wind statistic sites. That's why I set out to cut through the noise and show real, kiteable hours β when the wind is truly above 15 knots and during daylight, not just the vague βaround 4 Beaufort.β My goal is simple: to help me and other kiters find the perfect spot for their next trip and spend more time on the water. The current data comes from the OpenWeather API, which means forecasts may not include thermal winds yet. I plan to add real weather station data in the future. If you have a station at a kite spot and would like to share your data, I'd love to connect β reach out anytime! π€
